Often we can get confused by over processing the hairs or over curling them when performing lash lifts. It is important to know the difference as one is fixable!
If you have over curled the hairs, the lashes will still be healthy. It is likely that the shield or rod you have used is too small or your product was placed too far away from the root. If you have over curled the lashes you can relax them by brushing step 1 & 2 through the lashes again between two mascara wands to straighten the hairs. This should be done for a maximum of 1-2 minutes and you will need to re-tint.
On the other hand, if you have over processed the hairs the lashes will be frazzled and damaged. This occurs when the product has been left on for too long or hasn't been removed properly. Unfortunately, this cannot be fixed without causing further damage. Your client will need to apply Castor Oil daily until the lashes shed.
Always remember to assess the lash type and use low timings until you are experienced with the product you are using. This way you can always re-lift under processed lashes with half of the original timings rather than being stuck with over processed lashes!
